0.25n + 0.1n =9.8

You would combine the like terms. .25n+.1n=9.8 .25n+.1n=.35n .35n=9.8 divide by .35 on both sides. n=28. This would make sense because .25(28)+.1(28)=9.8 7+2.8=9.8 9.8=9.8
How would you get .35n?
The reason that i am having so MUCH trouble with this is because my teacher did not go over this at all and assigned this for homework!! :(
