I just did this entire problem and realized I did the wrong number.
To solve this problem, we want to make sure that we know the way to solve any problems related to this. Whenever we have a number or fraction next to a variable, we know that this is to be multiplied. However, to solve for the variable 'x' we need to divide since division is the inverse of multiplication. Let's solve this problem to get the value of 'x'. To solve this we need to divide 5/8 from both sides to have x all by itself. To do this, we need to divide 1/3 by 5/8. 1 8. 8 -- X -- = -- 3. 5. 15 Now we know that x=8/15
Sir I think you forgot the negative sign.
