how do you round 4.63 to the nearest tenth

The answer would be 4.60
You round the number by looking at the digit next to the place value you are rounding. If the number is 5 or more, the digit goes up. If the number is 4 or less, then the number rounds down.
The answer would be 4.6 like what _foreverjewell_ said. The way to know is that 0,1,2,3, and 4 are rounded down to zero. And 5,6,7,8, and 9 are rounded up to 10. But shouldn't you already know this?
Over here, the number 4.63 has the number 6 in the tenth place. You have to look at the number that is next to 6 (which is 3). Since 3 is less than 4, the number 6 is the same. Our rounded figure would be 4.6.
