what is a situation in which the government might want to censor the free press. Are there any circumstances that might make this acceptable? Explain why or why not.
Well, a prime example that is actually implemented is the exposure of confidential government information. For example, if an intelligence agent goes out and publicly tells the world online or in a book about all the secrets that the government has, they should be able to censor it. It would be more than acceptable than most if not all other forms of censorship because it is actually protecting the nation as a whole to censor that. The agent would be leaking top secret information that could harm the nation in it's entirety. Defense, experiments, names, anything that an enemy country could use against us.
This form of censorship is most certainly defending us and our lives. It isn't entirely negative.
