Solve and describe the steps you took to solve: |2x-15|+4<98

OpenStudy (shamil98):

Get the absolute value equation by itself first. |2x-15| < 94 from that, you have two equations 2x - 15 < 94 or -(2x-15)<94 <--- this is the same as 2x - 15 > -94

OpenStudy (shamil98):

From there just solve for x.

@shamil98 how do I solve for x?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

2x- 15 < 94 add 15 to both sides 2x < 109 divide by two x < 54.5

OpenStudy (shamil98):

2x - 15 > -94 2x > -79 x > -39.5

Ah, I see. Thank you.
