I know this is biology but I really need the answer someone please help! which of the following statements is true? A)both unicellular and multicellular organisms are at risk of having too much water entering their cells if they are exposed to water containing no salt B)only multicellular organisms have structures that enable them to regulate excess water entering their cells C)unicellular organisms can protect themselves against too much water uptake by closing their membrane channels that allow water transport

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D)Unicellular organisms but not multicellular organisms must deal with the movement of water by osmosis across their cell membranes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im guessing it is b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.. thank you!

OpenStudy (math2400):

i believe it's D...unicellular organisms but not multicellular organisms must deal with the movement of water by osmosis across their cell membrane.

OpenStudy (math2400):

I don't think it's b cuz the structure of unicellular cells is quite simple while the structure of multicellular cells is quite complex (since they are consist of multiple cells). So unicellular wold need to deal with the movement of water by osmosis..ha took AP Bio last year can't remember exactly how to explain but my best guess is D..
