what is the answer to (3/16 + 9/16)(1/4 - 13/18) ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, first, you have to make the 4 and the 18 a common denominator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For 3/16 + 9/16 just add the numerator and leave the denominator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks guys

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(3/16 + 9/16)(1/4 - 13/18) 3/16+9/16 evaluates to 12/16 = 3/4 1/4-13/18 evaluates to -17/36 Multiply and (3/16+9/16)*(1/4-13/18) evaluates to -17/48 If u don't get it reply and i will explain it to u
