Please help me solve this absolute equation: |5t - 4| >= 16 The first answer, when the problem is in it's original state, is obviously t = 4 and I know the second answer needs to be -2.4, but how would I get to that so the answer is -2.4?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

|5t - 4| ≥ 16 you will have 5t -4 ≥16 and 5t-4 ≤ -16 5t -4+4 ≥16+4 5t-4+4 ≤ -16+4 5t ≥20 5t ≤ -12 t ≥ 4 or t≤ -12/5

@oppulence, clear?
