What is the acceleration of a 0.90g drop of blood in the fingertips at the bottom of the swing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

While a person is walking, his arms (with typical lengths 70 cm measured from the shoulder joint) swing through approximately a 45∘ angle in 0.5 s. As a reasonable approximation, we can assume that the arm moves with constant speed during each swing.

Find V first 45 degrees in 0.5s is 1/8 of a full rotation a full rotation is 2pie times the radius . (1*2*pie*R)/(8*0.5)=1.10m/s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a = v squared over Radius. a=((1.10m/s) squared )/0.7m=1.7m/s squared
