What is the source of ACETIC ACID ???? [ where does exactly ACETIC ACID formed from? ]

OpenStudy (jfraser):

vinegar

OpenStudy (abb0t):

I thought vinegar was acetic acid diluted in water?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

it is, but the question is rather vague.

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

@JFraser Vinegar is the not the source of acetic acid,i mean to say that where does exactly ACETIC ACID formed from? What is that thing we obtained acetic acid. and VINEGAR is the example of acetic acid and it is not the source , it is the example , it means that in vinegar, acetic acid is found not exactly it is the source. Hope you understand.

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

yeah. you are correct. @abb0t Can you tell me what is the source of acetic acid?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

acetic acid is produced naturally from different alcohols by bacterial fermentation. Is that what you mean?

OpenStudy (abb0t):
