What do you think of the color blocks on the home page?

I like them. It makes it easy to discern from the different parts of the home page but there needs to be some kind of texturization to it.

I LIKE it! :)
as i had told earlier too, OS is basically for getting help in studies, so link to study group on homepage makes much more sense :)
and also, on the bottom right box, where 'others' topics are mentioned, that could have a link, which have the same effect as clicking 'Find More Subjects'.

Just something like making the boxes raised boxes so the page doesn't look like it starts and stops at the screen. Maybe a little more depth.

I could try designing a similar template on Photoshop. Mainly with the menu that contains the 8 subjects.

Yeah and the get started button should be somewhere else...dont know yet where because it takes away from the flow when it drops like it does. As for helpers I think that is a great idea but maybe show their picture and some quotes from them.

In all reality all that needs to be done is taking away spacing between the body of the page and the logo and then do the same with the body of the page and the footer. That and raise the advertise with us to the inside of the body white space so that it lowers down some to even out with the get started page. Even though it wouldn't be where the ad would be it would catch they eye more.

I must say that it has taken me a little while to get used to the new page setup. However, I do prefer the other concept that you posted as an attachment earlier. The colorfulness is nice, but there is a ton of white-space that isn't being utilized as well as, white is rather boring as well. Additionally I don't agree that you made math grey.... it makes it seem so boring!
Also, this thread has sorta shot away from what was it's original purpose I think........
