CORRECT 4 MEDAL :D Janel is a Latvian student visiting family in the United States. She spent $176 on dinner for her family one evening. If the exchange rate that day is USD to LVL = 0.49, approximately how much did Janel spend in Latvian Lat.

28 86<--- My answer 262 359

I'm not sure if it's saying $1 US dollar is equal to 0.49 LVL or if one LVL dollar is equal to 0.49 US cents. If 1 US dollar is 49 cents of LVL then it would be 86. If it is the other way around it would be 359. You can easily do it by taking one half of the price because it's 49 cents which is almost 50 cents, or one half of a dollar. If it's the other way then you would double it to get $352 and $359 is the closest to it.

I think it's saying 1 US dollar is 49 cents of Latvian money. I would say 86 as well.

176/0.49 = 359.1836735

I know, my way was just rounding it.
