Bushido and the code of chivalry would work well in today's world by instilling respect as a value in people's lives. The lack of respect towards one another is appalling and is a big reason why our society is in a downward spiral. We discriminate others for how they dress, the way they talk, and the way they look. Some of us even deliberately try to belittle others in an attempt to make ourselves look better. We should have a mindset on respecting ourselves as well as others.


I understand chivalry to be about love, honor, truth, courage, and strength. I think this would work out very well for all. A man being taught to be a proper gentleman, would also encourage the women to be proper ladies, because a gentleman wouldn't expect or accept anything less. It would also teach the children how to behave well. This is something that I want. Whenever I hear "what does a woman want", this is it, for me. It requires knowledge. Respect. I think that this would be the answer for all to live a good life. To be able to walk freely in society, and know that safety, protection and love is there for all to do so. I think that chivalry is also performed in a romantic sense that wouldn't be boring at all. An adventure about love. A love for all things good in life. I don't think that people would be lost in life, and know how to handle their self, and have more opportunities to be who they really are.
