Write an appropriate direct variation equation if y = 14 when x = -14. Do I multiply, divide, add, or subtract?? A. y = 14x B. y = -14x C. y = x D. y = -x

OpenStudy (lucaz):

I guess you just subtitute x=-14 to find what equation is equal to 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What??

OpenStudy (lucaz):

you have 4 options and a result y=14, plug in the x=-14 to see if the equation is 14=14

OpenStudy (lucaz):

1st equation y=14x y=14 and x=-14 -> (14)=14(-14) -> 14=-196 this is wrong try the other options
