help?!?! Find the circumference and area of a circle with a diameter of 14 inches. Leave your answers in terms of pi. C = 14π; A = 49π C = 7π; A = 28π C = 14π; A = 28π C = 7π; A = 49π

@esshotwired help plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d=14" circumference = Pi*d area = Pi*d^2 /4

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

the equation to find circumference is \[C=\pi d\] pi times the diameter. the equation to find the area is \[A=\pi r ^{2}\] pi times the radius squared. d=14 r=7 pi=3.14 use these numbers to plug in and solve.

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

circumference: \[C=3.14\times14\] \[C=43.96\] area: \[A=3.14\times7^{2}\] \[A=3.14\times49\] \[A=153.86\]

@esshotwired this not one of the options i think the answer is the 1st one

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

nevermind. i solved it all the ways through. it would be \[C=14\pi\] \[A=49\pi\]

thx @esshotwired
