Factor x^2 + 10x + 25 by grouping and Quadratic Formula
(x+5)^2
Okay, um, lemme rephrase that.. Can you show me HOW to factor by grouping and using the quadratic formula?
this problem doesnt need factor by grouping but i can show you how to use the quadratic equation
Please do. And how do you know that this doesn't need to be factored by grouping??
because to factor that you find two numbers that multiply to get 25 and add to get 10
Oh jeeze.. Is it bad that that looks like jibberish to me? .-. Lemme try working it on my own and see if I get it that way. I do school online, and it never SHOWED us the formula. So I'm just like "OMG how do you expect us to know something that you never showed?"
lol haha I understand
Okay, so, where on earth do the X's go? I noticed in your drawing that you didn't use the variables..
when you do the quadratic formula only the numbers go in the formula.
Oh, okay.
So, if it's just an x^2, for a section of the equation, what do I use in place of it? A 1?
yes there is always an imaginary 1 in front of x
Oh, okay! Sorry, I'm asking stupid questions. I'm really, really bad at this. Hard to believe I'm a senior in highschool, with how bad at math I am. .-.
you are fine there are people in college who are bad to dont be sad :)
Okay, I think I got it, actually. O-O;; Man, I shoulda joined this site MONTHS ago.
Thank you for the help, and thank you for putting up with my stupidity. LOL
haha glad you got it
