\(\overline{.4}=\frac{4}{9}\) for example , whereas \(\overline{.12}=\frac{12}{99}\)

x= 0.444 10x= 4.444. Subtract. We multiplied by 10 because only one number repeated -------------- -9x=-4 X= 4/9

x=0.1212. Two repeating numbers so we multiply by 100 100x=12.1212 __________. Subtract -99x=-12 X=-12/-99 = 12/99= 4/33
