The worlds fastest fish, a sailfish, swims at the rate of 69 miles per hour. Is the distance a sailfish swims proportional to the number of hours it swims ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol 69

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But yes, I do believe that it is. Because if it swims 69 miles each hour, you could set it up as 69h, where h is hours. So they change uniformly, so I'd say yes but I could be wrong.

Thanks can you help me with one more

In July a paleontologist found 368 fossils at a dig. In August, she found about 14 fossils per day. Is the number of fossils the paleontologist found in August proportional to the number of days she spent looking for fossils that month ?
