From my :Acquisition and analysis of error info class. chi^2 formula X^2 =sum( Ok-Ek/sqrtEk) <-- look at drawing, I want to know where this formula comes from they say in the book that the Experimental values Ok would fluctuate around Ek with a standard deviation of order sqrt(Ek), but they dont explain why its standard deviation should be sqrtEk
