OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

Complete the following: (a) Use the Leading Coefficient Test to determine the graph's end behavior. (b) Find the x-intercepts. State whether the graph crosses the x-axis or touches the x-axis and turns around at each intercept. (c) Find the y-intercept. f(x) = x2(x + 2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well this video shows how to use the Leading coefficient and f(x)=x^2(x+2)=x^3+2x^2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x24eEnEuj40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(a)The leading coefficient is positive and thus the graph goes to positive infinity as x-> inf The x intercepts are the roots, so 0 with multiplicity 2 and -2 with multiplicity 1 thus it touches at 0 and goes through at -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a) because the leading coefficient is 1 as x approaches - infinity, y is - infinity and vice versa coming from the positive side b) make two equations \[x^2 = 0 \] and \[x+2=0\] then solve for x c) make the equation equal zero then solve like a normal equation
