how do you graph x+5y=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you put the equation into 'slope-intercept' form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (ranga):

The quickest way is to put x = 0 in the equation and solve for y. That will be the y-intercept. Then you put y = 0 and solve for x. That will be your x-intercept. Join those two points with a ruler.

thx a bunch

OpenStudy (ranga):

you are welcome.
