Proverbs what do they mean People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Stuck between a rock a hard place Don't cry over split milk You can't teach an old dog new tricks That's the pot calling the kettle black Let sleeping dogs lie
A proverb is basically a piece of advice. The thing is there isnt a "definite" definition for these, its very opinion-like. What is this for? Is it a short answer question?
I'll tell you the ones I know though: For the first one, you should not criticize other people for bad qualities in their character that you have yourself. 2: Being in a situation where you're stuck between two unpleasant options 3: Why worry about something you cant change, it has already happened 4: you cannot make people change their established patterns of opinion and behavior (I'll look up the last two for you haha im not sure myself!) 5: This is a phrase that states that the person you are talking to is calling you something that they themselves are 6: Do not instigate trouble.; Leave something alone if it might cause trouble. There you go! Sorry this is really long XD
