To prevent a box from sliding down an inclined plane, Annie pushes on the box in the direction parallel to the incline just hard enough to hold the box stationary. In an identical situation, Reiner pushes on the box horizontally, also just as jhard enough to hold the box stationary. Given the mass of the box m=2kg, the static coefficient between the box and incline is 0.160 and incline angle is 25 degrees, who was to push harder? Who's job is easier in case of us=0.380
Reiner was to push harder, i.e. Annie's job is easier. Since, if force given by Annie is F (in the direction of acceleration of body), the effective force given by Reiner is only Rcos(x), where x is the angle of inclination which is obviously less than R.
