the side of an equilateral triangle is 30 cm. find the area of the triangle.with medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how\?

OpenStudy (hihi67):

An equilateral triangle sides are all the same.

OpenStudy (hihi67):

\[Area = \sqrt{3}/4 * s ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (hihi67):

A side is s, and a side is 30cm. 30 cm squared is 900 cm ^2

OpenStudy (hihi67):

So 900 cm squared times the square root of 3 divided by 4. That would then be 389.71 cm squared.

exactly my point
