The graph shown below expresses a radical function that can be written in the form f(x)=a(x+k)^(1/n)+c. What does the graph tell you about the value of n in this function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

n must be even because graph has restricted domain

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

you can solve for "a" and "n" using 2 points .... (-1,8) and (2,10) k = 5 c =2

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

sorry (2,10) is not a correct point...use (-4,5) a = 3 n = 2

OpenStudy (ranga):

(4,11) is another good point that fits into dumbcow's findings.
