OpenStudy (anonymous):

zeros of a function?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

what's the context? or what are your choices? do you know what a "root of an equation" is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i dont get. it just says 8. What is equivalent to the roots of an equation?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well. do you know what a root of an equation is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the x value to equal an equation to zero right?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... yes, when the equation is set to 0, that is, y = 0, when y =0 the values for "x" found will be the x-intercepts as well

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so could be the zeros, or the x-intercepts|dw:1384458236614:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea thats right. thank u for drawing that. easier to see it that way

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill say that... either the zeros or the x-intercepts

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yeap
