What all do you not want to see? Like i guess answers is a given, but you also dont want people swapping information trying to get to know somebody?

I'm sorry I just don't see whats wrong with that. Like if somebody wants to make friends with somebody after they helped and was nice to them, why not? Given that it can be done via message.. then alright. But are you saying you dont want to see it, period? Bc i just don't see anything wrong with making acquaintances/or even friends with somebody

You see we have chats and pm facility for making friends. The ask section is ONLY for questions related to that subject. It gets annoying when they use it to post something like "follow me on instagram,add me on fb etc etc". Besides openstudy contains users of all ages, so you are advised not to give away your private info to random people.

Oh okay. Well asking for somebody to fan and give medals is totally understanding. Thats like cheating your way up to looking as if you earned that in some way. Youll have that i guess.

I totally understand that. I will admit I have helped other people with giving answers, and have asked for a couple of things if i were to happen to get stuck. But theres just times like that. I really didn't know you guys were so serious about things like that having a site like this. Which i understand cheating is cheating, and it totally and completely understand why you guys are the way you are and im not saying you shouldnt be. But some questions you just kind of know the answer to but dont know how to explain, and in other cases it can be a question that someone is just asking for help on, not the answer. I really hope everyone on here isnt so quick to assume the worst.. I am new to this site for i just made mine about a week ago.

What if you know the answer to a question. Can you have the person that asked tell you what they think is right and if they are tell them they are? or do you have to explain it even if they told you what it could be

You could ask hi/her how she got the answer instead of blindly saying right or wrong. Consider if they are in a test and they want to quickly check the answers then it can lead to problems.

Instead give them a hint on what the question asks for. I always answer such questions pretending as if the options were mot there. That way you get to learn more.

I see it as you're only cheating your self. I chose giving hints and asking them how they solve it to see where they go wrong, ussally guide them and leave the last steps for them to solve if its really complicated :p

You can't simply write down names of people that you assume are cheating and report them. That could get someone in a lot of trouble and there's a chance you're wrong about them.

I think making this website they should have known cheating was going to happen regardless. Openstudy isn't the only site cheating happens on, cheating is every where.

A LOT of students in the English chat room are very inappropriate and would NOT help me, all but one student tried to help me. I was harassed and I am offended to say the most. This is suppose to be a helpful school site. Am I correct?
