What is the 6th term of the geometric sequence where a1 = –4,096 and a4 = 64?
So apparently there's a relationship between 1 and -4096 and another relationship between 4 and 64. Not only that, it's got this geometric pattern going on. Throw out some ideas and lets see if we can figure it out, take a couple guesses. 4 definitely seems similar to 64 in a couple ways...
I have absolutly no clue . math isnt my thing.
Hogwash on the "no clue". Get over that immediately. Geometric progression. Common ratio. Think common ratio. a1 = -4096 a2 = -4096*r -- Where r is the common ratio. Write an expression for a3.
@veronica21 I'll trade you 100 dollars for your 1000 dollars, cause I'm nice like that, you make 900 profit!!
What?
Kainui is suggesting that math had better be your thing at least in some small ways. Otherwise, how will you ever defend yourself out in the real world? Anyway, write that expression for a3.
