Between the exposition and climax, is every scene a moment of rising action?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. The exposition introduces you to the main characters while stating the problem and events that take place as well. The rising action happens before the climax to where the outcome of everything happens. Hope I helped :)

Thank you! Also, can there be more than one rising action?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, there can be. It also all depends on the plot also. For example, if the main character was having a dream, and the story stated the dream, that is a plot with in its self. So, it would have everything from the exposition to rising action, climax, falling action, and conclusion. When the character wakes up and comes back to real life, they have their own plot as well. Do you understand?

Ok. Thanks!

No problem :)
