what is 1/300 in simplest form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

help

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

do you want to covert it to a decimal?, i think it looks simplest as it is , in fractional form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what i thought but it said turn it into simplest form

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

maybe it is simpler if you factorise the denominator ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do u do that?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

factors of 300 are the smaller numbers that multiply to give 300 for example the factors of 56 are 23 and 2 , because 2x23=56

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

actually i dont think the question is looking for factorisation, i think that it was a trick question, because the fraction is already in simplest form
