The Good Samaritan laws are meant to discourage bystanders from helping accident victims.
whats your question
Looks like a True or False. So, Kalico99, which do you think?
... If it is T/F then it would be false. The Good Samaritan law is in place to legally protect individuals from lawsuits that are based upon the care that they gave to the injured person. For example, you see someone choking and perform the Heimlich maneuver. While helping the person you accidentally broke a rib. The individual can not sue you after being helped because your actions saved their life. The law actually encourages individuals to help other people who are in need of life-saving help. This does not apply to individuals with more intense professional training (EMT, Cops, Firefighters, etc.)
