Which set of points lies on the given graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. (4, 11), (–2, 7), (1, –1) B. (4, 11), (2, –7), (1, 1) C. (–4, 11), (–2, 7), (1, –1) D. (–4, 11), (–2, 7), (1, 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, look at it... Do you know how to read coordinate graphs and plot points?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no this is all new to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's D. But I'll tell you why Do you know what the X-axis and Y-axis is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but i cant reimember i did the graphs in lik4th grade just not this stuff

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's the same thing- you're just plotting the points. To begin with, you need to know the X and Y axis. The y axis is the vertical (up and down) line and the X-axis is the horizontal line (straight across)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o yeah ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1384544220247:dw| it always in the format of (x,y) where you run on the X axis first, then you go up or down on the Y axis. If it's a negative x, you will run to the left. If it's a negative y, you will go down the line
