Anyone know how to do geometry proofs?

OpenStudy (okra77):

two column proofs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (okra77):

what you got always start with the given and use definitions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have the givens down I just have trouble proving how the triangles are congruent

OpenStudy (okra77):

can you put the problem up triangles are proved congruent by sas sss or asa

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

yes, and you can still prove that they are proportional if you have AAA.

OpenStudy (okra77):

i think that would be similar triangles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My class just learned about ASA i don't get how to put it into use

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

OpenStudy (okra77):

if you show that one pair of angles is congruent then a pair of sides congruent then another pair of sides congruent then u have asa the sides have to be between those two angles though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so its not congruent if it goes angle angle side

OpenStudy (okra77):

no that is similar for instance two triangles could have the same angle measures but one be much larger than the other

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok now I get it
