Write 0.22% as a decimal

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

Can you write this as a fraction?

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

This is just the first step.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To convert a percent to a decimal divide by 100. To convert a decimal to a percent times by 100.

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

@raige? Can't we do this based off of what @Cupcakescankill said... \[\frac{ .22 }{ 100 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah that would work. So then I would get 0.0022

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

When dividing by 100... you move the decimal two places to the left... because there are two zeros in 100. So what is your answer? @raige

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

Good!

Yay awesome thanks guys! :)
