The graph of which of the following equations contains the points (2, 3) and (3, 2)? a.y = x - 1 b.y = 5 - x c.y= 7 - 2x

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

plug them in and see if they work. Each of the points have to work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you show me?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Yes, sure!

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

(2, 3) and (3, 2) For choice A. you will do the rest of the choices. y = x - 1 (2,3) [ as (x,y) ] I AM PLUGGING IN (2,3) into A. 3=2-1 3≠1 So you can see that A doesn't work already. Do so for B and C. if you see that one of the points doesn't work skip the choice, if you see that one of the points does work, plug in the other point. BOTH POINTS, (2, 3) and (3, 2) have to work.
