PLEASE HELP ME I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN IT IS A FUNCTION Determine if (−6ˏ−2)ˏ(−2ˏ6)ˏ(0ˏ3)ˏ(3ˏ5) is a function EXPLAIN.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a 'function' means that you can't have one x value going to two different y values. (−6ˏ−2)ˏ -6 goes to -2 (−2ˏ6)ˏ -2 goes to 6 (0ˏ3)ˏ 0 goes to 3 (3ˏ5) 3 goes to 5 no single x input goes to two different y values, so this is a function. Example of set that IS NOT A FUNCTION: (2, 3) (2, 4) (3, 6) do you see how we have x=2 and it has a y=3 and a y=4. this is not a function becuase one x value goes to two different y values.
