Describe the end behavior of the graph for each function: f(x)=x^3+2x^2-5x+1 g(x)=-2x^3-8x^2+18x+72

@jdoe0001 if you could help again, let me know if I'm annoying you lol. I know what the graphs look like, but i don't know how to describe them

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmm I guess I'd say.... that g(x) looks like a vertically-stretched horizontally-flipped version of f(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait.. the first function is a completely separate question than the second question. They are not together in any way

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... ok... then both are of 3rd degree, so that means they'd have 3 roots or 3 solutions or 3 x-intercepts, that is they will have to touch the x-axis 3 times

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think when it says describe though it means like f(x)--> infinity as f(x)--> -infinity or something

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmm domain and range.... so as x goes to \(\pm\infty\) y goes also to \(\pm\infty\) and

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I think that how to describe the end behavior
