trying to resolve for Na and Nb which are reaction forces.. Sum forces x = m.a 0.25Na = 2200 x acc Sum Forces y = 0 Na + Nb - 2200*9.81=0 Sum Moments (g) = 0 -Na(1.2)-0.25Na(0.25) + Nb(0.8) = 0 Could you show me the steps as Ive not got a clue how to deal with the unresolved moment equation simultaneously! cheers john

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

N would be? Normal force?

can you give more information? As far as summing the moments about g, there should only be 1 value for Na in the equation, not two, because you resolved the Na force into x and y components. here is what your moment equation looks like: |dw:1384556755450:dw|
