both, but on OpenStudy it has to be online since users here are from all over the planet so meeting up might be a little difficult to arrange.

Ah, technically both - though OpenStudy is an exclusively online community.

But I would be extremely cautious of providing 'real world' information such as name, phone number and location - the sort of info you'd need to meet another OpenStudier in the real world - over the internet. You don't have to be a mod on here long to realize how easy it is to create online aliases, and how dangerous that can be when peoples' real identities start interacting off the site.
