can someone check this for me>

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

everything looks really good...except #74 error should be y = (x-1)^2 -10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay and how would I do this: y= 3x^2 - 12x + 1

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

^do what? complete the square...? first factor out the 3 \[\large y= 3x^2 - 12x + 1\] \[\large y= 3(x^2 - 4x) + 1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then divide by 3?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

No, complete the square from there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would I do that @agent0smith

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

The same way you did all those other questions (it seems like you know how to complete the square already). You just have to not forget about the 3.
