how do I calculate the distances travelled by 'the Diligent' and 'Resplendent' during a race, using algebraic methods: (we have been given 2 different equations and I don't know which one to use so I have included both) Flight path equations: The Diligent: s(t)= -0.05t(t-20) Resplendent: s(t)= -0.1t(t-28) velocity functions: The Diligent: v(t)=0.1t+1 Resplendent: v(t)=-0.2t+2.8
