OpenStudy (dehelloo):

Find solution set of the given equation over the set of complex numbers. x^2/2 = 5x-17 How do I put this into quadratic form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply the whole thing by 2 to get: x^2 = 10x -35 Bring everything over to the left side: x^2 -10x +34=0 And you should beable to from there.

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

thanks

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

Oh why does the negative behind the 35 turn to a positive when the x^2 is put in.
