OpenStudy (alyssajobug):

Determine if the relation from the number of items in a grocery cart to the total cost of the items in the cart is a function. Yes or No?

OpenStudy (alyssajobug):

If yes why? if no why? I don't quite understand the question I don't think.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you asked me i would say no for the following reason you could have two candy bars in the grocery cart that cost a total of $2, so the ordered pair would be \((2,2)\) or you could have to jars of caviar that cost a total $100, so the ordered pair would be \((2,200)\) same number in the first coordinate, different numbers in the second, not a function

OpenStudy (alyssajobug):

That makes a lot of sense! Thanks for the help!
