or you can solve a cubic equation...

lets start from graphing, I think solving for x, is just like any other, but it has x^3 in it.

Graphing many of them will require calculus. Because you have to find the peaks and valleys. The points where the slope is zero. Also infection points as well. This is all in addition to just finding the zeroes. However, if you already have the zeroes, you can use that to figure out the general shape of the Cubic. But really, to graph more accurately, you'll need calculus. No way to avoid it.

to find x-intercepts of f(x) = ax^3 +bx^2+cx+d
you will set f(x) = 0
this is same as solving the cubic function
to get y-intercept , you set x=0,
so y intercept is just (0,d)
these intercepts will give a rough idea of how a graph looks...
