heeeelpppp

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (shamil98):

It looks correct to me >.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which is the answer?

hartnn (hartnn):

try plugging in back the solution that isreal got

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

solution is correct but options all are wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im so confused lol they can't be tho

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

Hartnn! am i correct?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

I think it's extraneous solutions.

hartnn (hartnn):

nopes, haseeb ..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hartnn is @shamil98 correct?

hartnn (hartnn):

see, isreal got -2 as a solution how will you check whether it is extraneous ?

hartnn (hartnn):

plug in x = -2 in the original equation see whether you get left side = right side ?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

\[\sqrt{x+4} - 4 = x\] \[\sqrt{-2+4} - 4 = -2\] \[\sqrt{2} -4 \ne -2\]

hartnn (hartnn):

ppl. let lowcard try :/

OpenStudy (shamil98):

o

OpenStudy (shamil98):

mb..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im on on my kindle fire right now so I'm not gonna type Good but let me look

hartnn (hartnn):

lowcard did you get what i am asking you to do ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug -5 in the original equation and see if it works

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry my computers been frozen i need to re read…what is the answer tho?

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

it is extranous see here when i put x=-2 then radical -2+6 -4 = -2 radical 4 -4 =-2' 2-4=-2 -2=-2 but when i put x=-5 then radical -5+6 -4 =-5 radical 1 -4 =-5 1-4 = -5 -3not equal to -5 An extanous solution is that like x=2 solved the equation but x=-5 not solve it It means that D. Is correct

hartnn (hartnn):

Haseeb, why you in hurry to give out the solution ? why not let the asker try first ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I put D I have 3 other questions to answer for this assignment and then i submit it and i will let you know if it is wrong or not loool can you guys help me with the next one I'm about to post it c:

hartnn (hartnn):

i don't think you are here to get help, i think you are here to get answers only , right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/52887bc5e4b0b3376511f4a5 and no I am but I post the questions I don't understand and the next three are just like this one but this one is more complicated

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

sorry , i just want that people has not any problem in solution therefore i give the answer.

hartnn (hartnn):

well, then read this : http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct
