Convert the numeral to a numeral in the base indicated. 16,629 to base 13

hartnn (hartnn):

divide 16629 by 13 what is the remainder that you get ?

hartnn (hartnn):

remember the quotient too. the first remainder will be you least significant digit in the number in base13

hartnn (hartnn):

then divide the quotient by 13 again! and find the quotient and remainder. repeat this process until the quotient is less than 13

hartnn (hartnn):

let me know if you have doubt in any step or if you did not get what i asked. we'll take it step by step then

Additional info, the numbers also in base 13 would be from 0 to 12 and for a two-digit number such as 10 to 12, that will be replace by letters A to C, respectively. The next number after C will be 20... and after 29, it will be 2A not 30. 30 will follow after 2C. This counting in base 13 will continue based on said patterns.... :)

hartnn (hartnn):

you mean the next number after C is 10 , right ? and the next number after 1C is 20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o yeah, i forgot the 10 to 19.... thanks for correcting me.:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0... C 10... 1C 20... 2C, and so on... thanks again.

hartnn (hartnn):

yo're welcome ^_^
