Say we have a scatter graph showing strong correlation between x and y. We can make a prediction of y values from given x right? But not predictions of 'x' from a given 'y' - am I still right? Is the reason for this that we have not established causation, only some correlation? We can't say that the independent variable is changed by the response variable. Can anyone confirm please?
