I need help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find dy/dx of y=5^ln(x)

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

take ln on both sides: \[ln(y)=ln(5^{ln(x)})\]\[ln(y)=ln(x)*ln(5)\]

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Differentiate both sides using implicit differentiation and you're good to go.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can't I just use the chain rule?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

well you will use the chain rule while differentiating - ln(y) remember, you'd have to do: \[\frac{1}{y}*\frac{dy}{dx}=...Chain\space rule \space here\]

okay thank you!
