I can't figure this one out, help would be much appreciated (: Which equation has no solution? a. 7v+2=8v-3 b. 3x-5=3x+8-x c. 4y+5=4y-6 d. 7z+6=-7z-5

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

no solution for such a problem when the variables cancel out and leave you with something like 5 = -6 so first try solving for the variable for each option...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I could never do these

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

so let's start narrowing our options down: 7v+2=8v-3 v = 5 so there is a solution therefore it Can't be A 3x-5=3x+8-x 3x-5=2x+8 x = 13 so there is a solution therefore it Can't be B

OpenStudy (141823):

A. 7v+2=8v-3 -8v -8v -v+2=-3 -2 -2 -v=-5 v=5

OpenStudy (141823):

...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it c?

OpenStudy (141823):

Cuuurse you jigglypuuuuuugggg XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hahaha okay so, yes, it's c... Right?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

yep :)
