Create the data to fill in the population table. Be creative when selecting the P(x) values, but remember that this is an exponential growth model. Notice that you even need to come up with how many fish the fisherman introduces to the lake. Months (x) Population P(x) 0 1 2 3

pls i really need help!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is there anything else we should know about it? Like was there an example table in the book or whatever?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope jst this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you think you can help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I might be able to. It doesn't really make sense that they're using exponential functions for fishermen but I guess you could do 300^x where x is the months.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the website is about to restart, jst letting you know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, I see that. Thanks. :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@halorazer u there? lol i'm scared so don't abandon me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, I am here. :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're not dead yet.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ok, im sorry! but can you guide me through the process?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of what, exactly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol wait do you know how to work this question or not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well without them giving you any values it's really hard. But if an exponential function has an exponent greater than 1 then I don't see why you can't just choose a bunch of random numbers and stuff.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would this help? A fisherman decided to stock his favorite lake with a few fish that are not native to the region. The fish he introduces have no natural predators in the lake and they experience a large exponential growth. The introduction of an invasive species can be very detrimental to an ecosystem and there have already been noted effects. The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation has asked for your help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@halorazer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A little bit but not very much. It makes a little bit more sense but at the same time is confusing because it says he introduces them and they have no natural predators. But then goes on to talk about invasive species. Is it talking about the exponential decay of the fish who were already there or the exponential growth of the invasive species?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk thats why asked you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Tag some other people, I'm confused. O.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok nobody is online thats good at math can you tag people pls @bookworm00981

@ranga

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why am i here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to help :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is your purpose in life :P @brendalopez

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh come on Brenda :$
